Edible emulsifiers include both natural and synthetic substances. In the food industry natural and synthetic emulsifiers are used. Natural emulsifiers are harmless. Approved for use in the food industry, synthetic emulsifiers are considered as harmless, however, a maximum daily rate of consumption is established for many of them, people does not recommended to exceed it. Moreover, some markets has food products which include synthetic emulsifiers prohibited in many countries because of the high toxicity.
